Coyotes' Panik arrested for criminal trespass

A former Blackhawks right-winger was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona, for trespassing after reportedly refusing to leave a nightclub earlier this month, according to multiple reports.

Scottsdale police said 27-year-old Richard Panik was arrested for trespassing.

Panik, who played 37 games this season with the Blackhawks and 35 with the Coyotes, was ultimately released with a criminal citation.

The Coyotes acquired Panik from Chicago part of the way through this past season.

In 335 career National Hockey League games over six seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, Blackhawks and Coyotes, Panik has 61 goals and 65 assists.

The Coyotes issued a statement to ABC15 to acknowledge the incident and say they are gathering information on the situation. I get enjoying your offseason but this is obviously a step too far.
