Wendy Williams Cancels This Week's Shows After Feeling 'Flu-Ish'

Today's Valentine's Day episode, which featured Taye Diggs as the guest, was abruptly canceled Tuesday (Feb. 14) because Williams was ill.

The talkshow host, whose talk show has been on-air since 2008, has been forced to cancel tapings of The Wendy Williams Show for the rest of the week. A spokesperson then announced all remaining shows for this week were canceled.

"Wendy is still experiencing flu-like symptoms, and so she can rest up and get better, we have made a decision to cancel tapings the rest of the week", a spokesperson for the show told Page Six on Wednesday morning.

"It's not the flu yet, but I feel flu-ish", she said, while sipping what appeared to be orange juice.

Reruns of the show will air during the usual slotted time Wednesday through Friday, with regular taping expected to resume Monday.

Watch Williams emotionally recount her Halloween scare in the video below.

"It's not the flu yet, but I feel flu-ish". The sickness, Williams assured fans, is "not a five, on a scale of one to five - it's not even a four".

"I feel terrible, I had to be talked out of going into work today, and taking off a few days to get myself together", said Williams, calling herself a "thoroughbred" and referring to her days on the radio when she refused to take a sick day.

"You know, I have not taken off since we started the show", she said.

"I took the proper vacation time, but take off sick?"

Last October, Williams took a highly publicized fall during the taping of her Halloween-themed episode and accredited the mishap to overheating from her costume. "Everything we are looking at is bad news".

63 children have already died due to the virus and it's being estimated that this year's strain is killing up to 4,000 Americans a week.
