Chartists Placing Core US Credit Bond ETF Ishares (CRED) on Their Radar

Ishares S&P Midcap 400 Index Fund, formerly The iShares Core S&P Mid-Cap ETF (the Fund), seeks investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the United States mid-cap stocks, as represented by the Standard & Poor's MidCap 400 (the Underlying Index). Many technical chart analysts believe that an ADX reading over 25 would suggest a strong trend. The ADX is typically used in conjunction with the Plus Directional Indicator (+DI) and Minus Directional Indicator (-DI) to help spot trend direction as well as trend strength. Although the CCI indicator was developed for commodities, it has become a popular tool for equity evaluation as well. A reading under 30 may indicate that the stock is oversold, and possibly undervalued. The 14-day RSI is now at 27.68, the 7-day stands at 23.05, and the 3-day is sitting at 21.64. A reading over 70 would indicate that the stock is overbought, and possibly overvalued. A reading under 20 would indicate no trend, and a reading from 20-25 would suggest that there is no clear trend signal.

Alternately, if the indicator goes under -80, this may show the stock as being oversold. Traders often add the Plus Directional Indicator (+DI) and Minus Directional Indicator (-DI) to identify the direction of a trend. The Williams %R is a momentum indicator that helps measure oversold and overbought levels. ADX calculations are made based on the moving average price range expansion over a specified amount of time. Using price and trend analysis will aid in determining which signals to take, such as only taking buy signals when a long-term uptrend is in place. The Williams %R oscillates in a range from 0 to -100. Moving averages can be very helpful for spotting peaks and troughs. A CCI reading above +100 would imply that the stock is overbought, and a reading of -100 would imply that the stock is oversold. Moving averages are considered to be lagging indicators meaning that they confirm trends. The stock had a trading volume of 17,431,356 shares, compared to its average volume of 12,835,062.
