Mario Tennis Aces serves on Nintendo Switch this spring

Nintendo DS action-rhythm-RPG The World Ends with You: Final Remix is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

My personal favourite addition is a new Mario tennis game called "Mario Tennis Aces".

The latest entry in the long-running, beloved side-scrolling franchise starring Kirby is arriving on the Nintendo Switch in short order: "Kirby Star Allies" launches on March 16.

In today's Nintendo Direct Mini, we got a look at what the first half of 2018 is going to look like for the Switch. Whether it's Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion or Eternal Darkness, Nintendo has plenty of fantastic first-party titles to choose from to get the party started.

During today's Nintendo Direct announcement, the studio revealed Mario Tennis Aces for Nintendo Switch.

It was also revealed that Dark Souls Remastered would have a May 25 release date.

The game launches later this year, though Nintendo did not detail a more specific release window.

Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, originally released for Wii U, will include a "beginner-friendy" mode to balance out its infamously hard gameplay. Enter a new retail listing that shows off Yoshi and when Switch fans can expect the new game. Case in point: The Escapists 2 is now available on the Nintendo Switch. However, the demand for other streaming apps such as YouTube and Netflix remain prevalent amongst fans, and they're definitely still something we think Nintendo needs to address in 2018.

The fighting game featuring Pokémon is getting some new DLC characters.

Cooperative heist shooter Payday 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch, adding HD rumble and touchscreen controls.

"None of the titles are as impressive as Super Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild", said Ward.

Whether another Direct happens or not, you can be sure to check in for updates on Nintendo's plans with OnlySP's Twitter and Facebook. It will also be coming with a timed-exclusive playable character who has the ability to hack through any system. Finally, the port I may be most excited for is Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Switch, a tricky platformer made easier by the inclusion of Funky Kong when it releases on May 4th.
