Pokkén Tournament DX on Nintendo Switch gets new features

Nintendo has announced that Pokkén Tournament DX will be getting an 'exciting new update.' This update adds a recording facility to the practice mode, as well as enhancing the game's online multiplayer features. Players form a team of their favorite Pokemon and duke it out with an opponent's team. The Official Groups section in Group Match online battle mode will offer players the chance to receive special titles. Fans will also get the ability to record training sessions to share online and various gameplay improvements.

Online Team Battles will finally be coming to the game, allowing players to join up with their friends in big three-on-three battles.

The new update adds new features exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game that may well make that console the choice for competitive play. The idea is simple-players choose three Pokemon and battle it out in a last-man standing type battle. You'll be able to control the opposing Pokemon and record its movements so you can play them back when you're training to help improve your skills.

If you've been hoping for more things to do in Pokkén Tournament DX then it's your lucky day.
