See Alien: Covenant's Neomorph in New Photos from the Film

In an upcoming issue of Empire magazine, Ridley Scott said he's planning two more films connected to the original 1979 film that started the whole franchise. I actually saw this thing in action during the 15 minutes of the film that screened at SXSW last month and it made a strong (and gory) impression.

The first image looks like a flashback with either Walter or David (both robots played by Michael Fassbender) with Peter Weyland.

This is just a taste of our extensive eight-page coverage on Alien: Covenant - for the full insane story, be sure to pick up a copy of Empire, on sale in all good and malevolent newsagents now.

The third image features a mysterious person unleashing pods on the Engineers homeworld. A forth and final image shows another Neomorph, who is transitioning and looking a bit closer to the classic xenomorph that we all know and love. The promos include Danny McBride as Tennessee, Demián Bichir as Sergeant Lope and Tess Haubrich as Rosenthall. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, unsafe world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

"Alien: Covenant", a prequel to "Alien", opens May 19.
