Spurs Get Positive Update On Kane's Injury

This would be Kane's second ligament injury this year, although - for the moment - it's believed that the injury isn't as severe this time as it was earlier in the season.

Harry Kane has suffered "ligament damage" and is facing the rest of the season on the sidelines How will Tottenham live without Harry Kane?

Kane was able to walk immediately after the injury occurred in Sunday's 6-0 victory over Millwall, while six months ago against Sunderland he had to be carried off on a stretcher.

"Harry will continue to be assessed by our medical staff while he undergoes his rehabilitation at our Training Centre", the club added.

It means Kane will definitely miss England's friendly with Germany next Wednesday and the World Cup qualifier with Lithuania a week on Sunday.

Whilst Kane is sure to sit out at least a few weeks of action, it is thought that he could return in time to face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on April 22.

However, the Express claim that Spurs are confident their top scorer will be fit to make a dramatic return for the north London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane on April 30th.

Elaborating, Kane recognised the position that the Premier League leaders are now in, but noted that: "Chelsea might drop some points and we might get closer".

Though Kane had to limp off after seven minutes during Tottenham's thrashing of Millwall, Son Heung Min and Vincent Jannsen were both on target, with the former bagging a hat-trick.

He also said he intends to come back stronger.
