Nike debuts LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase

It seems like there's nothing that Cleveland Cavaliers and National Basketball Association superstar LeBron James can do wrong at this point.

"Sports should never be taken away from a kid", the three-time National Basketball Association champion said.

The 4-time NBA MVP and 3-time NBA champion handed them their very own pair of the brand new Nike Soldier 10 FlyEase before they got the opportunity to take them for a test drive by shooting hoops in the Cavs' gym.

"One of the key learnings we've had in crafting accessible footwear is the importance of easy entry and exit of the shoe, not just simplifying its fastening system", says Tobie ("Tinker") Hatfield, Nike Senior Director of Athlete Innovation. The midfoot of the sneakers opens entirely up, while a zippered heel panel allows for additional room. The LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase also features an upgrade to the zipper, which lies at a flatter angle than previous FlyEase shoes and allows for an easier pull around the ankle.

"It looks just like the traditional Soldier 10", continues Hatfield, "but with a far more generous opening for the foot".

The Nike LeBron Soldier 10 FlyEase is available now on in Royal Blue for both adults and kids. Not only was he able to bring an National Basketball Association championship to Cleveland, but he's also been releasing some terrific sneakers with Nike.

LeBron himself invited patients from Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation to the Cleveland Cavaliers practice facility recently to celebrate the launch of the new Soldier 10 FlyEase, and spent time personally connecting with each of the kids while showing the advantages of the FlyEase in his shoe, which benefits athletes of all abilities and ages. Once the Velcro straps are fastened and the heel is zipped up, the sneakers provide maximum lock down and comfort.
