Meet New Mizzou Men's Basketball Coach Cuonzo Martin

Martin's salary is for seven years and $21 million with $2.7 million being guaranteed in his first season.

Missouri and new men's basketball coach Cuonzo Martin are married to each other for the foreseeable future based on the terms of a seven-year, $21 million deal, which were revealed Monday with the release of a memorandum of understanding. That means Martin is set to make $3.3 million in his seventh year with the team. He takes over the Tiger program from Kim Anderson, who resigned earlier this month after three losing seasons. Martin's salary increases by $100,000 each season, now ending with $3.3 million guaranteed in year seven.

Should Missouri chose to fire Martin he will be paid $6 million after his fourth season. Each year after that, his pay will increase $100,000.

Martin also receives a country club membership, two courtesy cars, a Mizzou Arena suite at home basketball games and six premium tickets for each home football game. After the South End Zone Project is completed in 2019, those tickets will transfer into a suite.

Martin also has the opportunity to add incentive bonuses if he gains special recognition for items like SEC Coach of the Year or has 12 conference wins.

There is another $110,000 available for graduate-assistants and part-time support staff.
