Jets Are Hosting Former 49'ers Receiver Quinton Patton

49ers free agent receiver Quinton Patton took to Instagram Monday to thank a number of his teammates with San Francisco.

Last season was his best in the National Football League, as the 26-year-old set career highs with 37 receptions and 408 yards receiving.

A former Louisiana Tech standout, Patton played just two seasons in Baton Rouge but posted impressive numbers, totalling 2,594 yards and 24 touchdowns in his time down south. For his career, Patton has amassed 73 receptions for 880 yards with 13 catches covering 20 yards.

The mutual interest between Patton and the Jets can likely be attributed to Gang Green's new offensive coordinator, John Morton. Morton was the Saints WR coach past year when Patton registered new career highs with six receptions for 106 yards against New Orleans on November 6, marking Patton's first 100-yard receiving game of his career. And in a live video, Patton was wearing a New York Jets shirt after he visited with the team over the weekend, indicating he signed with the club.
