Detroit Lions add former Jaguars DT Jordan Hill to D-Line rotation

It would be a huge leap in opportunity for the youngster, but considering the Lions' lack of a pure pass-rushing defensive tackle, Hill should easily see significant playing time.

The Detroit Lions added another rotational piece to their defensive line today, signing free agent tackle Jordan Hill.

Hill is entering his fifth National Football League season after previously playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks.

Hill, 26, is a former third-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks. Tyrunn Walker, Devin Taylor and Armonty Bryant make up that group.

Hill, who starred at Steel-High, has appeared in 31 National Football League games while battling multiple injuries over four seasons. He played in four games for the Jaguars last season, making no starts.

In Detroit, he'll compete in training camp to earn a backup role behind Haloti Ngata and A'Shawn Robinson, where he'd join a rotation with Kerry Hyder, Khyri Thornton and newcomers Akeem Spence and Cornelius Washington.
