Congressman faces raucous Town Hall

Texas Republican Congressman Pete Sessions on Saturday told rowdy participants at a town hall that they're only "frustrated" because "they don't know how to listen". I know why you're so frustrated: "You don't know how to listen", according to the Texas Tribune.

When he offered extended explanations to questions posed to him, the crowd at times chanted, "Yes or no?" "We're going to pass the bill and we're going to repeal ObamaCare", said Sessions, who promised the GOP measure provides a more affordable path going forward.

The crowd grilled the congressman on everything from health care to President Trump's possible ties to Russian Federation. It got raucous enough that at one point Sessions told his audience "if we continue this, no member of Congress will want to meet with people". Some avoided meeting their constituents face to face during the last recess by holding teleconferencing meetings or not hosting events at all.
